trades and services
Companies that provide services to design, fit and maintain equipment – from boilers to curtains – aim to build trust with potential customers, meaning testimonials and illustrating in-house expertise are crucial within the marketing and PR mix.
Custom Heat, an already successful and fast-growing company, had never undertaken PR activity before so we created a 12-month strategy with two goals; to increase awareness of the company in the trade media for recruitment purposes and in the local media to gain the attention of prospective customers. In this time, successes included coverage on local BBC stations and launching the Midlands-based business into Cornwall.
“Keredy listened to my views on the industry, about Custom Heat and what our goals were and created newsworthy stories that really showcased the business and our team. She is responsive and full of ideas – we were delighted to feature in key heating and plumbing publications as well as the local and business media.”
When Keredy left Punch, she maintained excellent relationships with personel from Sony Mobile, and following company moves, she was approached to assist E.ON Sweden. Working within E.ON’s Inbound Marketing and Digital Analytics department, we stepped in to lead a team of seven on a medium term project to create a digital strategy and five documents outlining activity and tactics.
“Keredy helped to shape the narratives, write and edit the contents and design the page layouts; readers would have varying degrees of knowledge of each discipline so ensuring each document was user-friendly was also a fundamental consideration. We now have in depth and cohesive details of strategies, processes and tactics for people across the business to clearly understand thanks to Keredy’s grasp of marketing, attention to detail and management skills.”
Lustrans provides a high-end fitting service for bespoke curtains and blinds, in spaces like hotels, stately homes and residential properties. They appointed us to create a website in the same brand language as their existing logo. We spoke to them about their offering and gathered key project case study information before crafting a site that showcased their range of services.
More recently we have undertaken updates for Lustrans, adding more gallery images to the website and a new page, which showcases the range of curtain track solutions that are on offer from its manufacturing partner Forest Drapery Hardware.
“We had a logo but I didn’t have any ideas of how the website should look and I was very happy with what Hannes designed. Keredy is very easy to work with and she’s quick to get the work done. We generally have a chat and she gets on with it, which is the kind of support I like.”
Nikki provided ironing and laundry services locally but needed more of an online presence than just her Facebook page. We discussed her brand personality aims and learned about her services to create a logo and write and develop a website that has helped her grow her customer base in nearby towns and villages.
“I’m not very technically minded or creative, so I didn’t know where to start with a website. Hannes listened to my ideas and kept the cost right down for me. It was noticeable how many additional enquiries I received after the website was live and people said they found me through searching on Google. I’m so happy with my logo and website and I didn’t need to worry about buying a domain name or hosting, Keredy sorted it all for me.”
Annie Adams is a technical services specialist, who assists Governments, certification schemes, not-for-profits and multi-national corporations to responsibly source forest commodities including timber, paper and palm oil and meet deforestation free commitments. She required a logo and a website for the launch of her business, which we delivered, and we continue to manage the hosting and domain.
“While I could write about my consultancy services, I didn’t have the time to learn how to make a website look professional on a build-your-own platform and I didn’t know where to start with my logo ideas. Keredy and I met in person to discuss everything and she came up with the goods – she’s helpful, knowledgeable and is great at explaining technical details in layman’s terms.”
This one stop shop for window and door problems in Birmingham – 0121 Repairs – required a logo and simple website developing, which met best practice for search engines. We worked with the company back in 2016 to fine tune the copy that they provided and more recently when they noticed a drop off in search, we advised on the signals that could be improved, such as loading speed resulting from poor hosting.
“We required some technical expertise to create a nice and simple website that showed off our window and door installation and repair services and Hannes did a great job. Hannes’ knowledge of SEO has been very helpful throughout to ensure enquiries continue to come via search engines – Keredy is a fantastic multi-skilled resource for any small business to have in their corner.”
Prior to founding Hannes, one of Keredy’s agency clients at the amazing agency Punch, was Lima Architecture and Design, an interior decoration consultancy based in Hungary and the UK.
She also worked with Ground Force star Tommy Walsh on launching and promoting a new builder’s merchant comparison website – Trades Supermarket.
